The Bible mentions Nudity quite a bit. Let's see how many we can find.


There are many places in the Bible where people who are nude are mentioned. Many of the verses we’ve heard preached to us from the pulpit with a negative spin, and in our nudity phobic society, we rarely hear anything positive about nakedness. Here are what I could find. Let’s read through them.

Old Testament

Genesis 2:25

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Genesis 3:7

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Genesis 3:10-11

10.) And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11.) And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

Genesis 9:21

… and he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

Exodus 32:25

And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)

Leviticus 18:6-19

1 Samuel 19:24

2 Chronicles 28:15

2 Chronicles 28:19

Job 1:21
